Avokado je poznato po svojoj izuzetno bogatoj nutritivnoj vrijednosti, veoma je hranjivo i u sebi sadrži širok spektar nutricijenata, preko 20 vitamina i minerala.

100 grama avokada sadrži: vitamine K, C, B6, B5, A, B1, B2, B3, kalijum, karotenoid, te male količine magnezija, mangana, bakra, željeza, cinka, fosfora, oleinsku kiselinu. Sadrži 160 kalorija, 2 grama proteina, 15 grama zdravih masti, ne sadrži holesterol i natrijum, a ima veoma mali procenat zasićenih masti.
